Application

The Master’s applicant must have a undergraduate degree in Home Economics or be from the fields of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities. Applicants from other areas may be admitted, since his research proposal presents a constituent matter of the concentration area.

The Doctorate applicant must have a Master’s degree in a related field to the Graduate Program in Home Economics, and have at least one article or article publication accepted in peer-reviewed journal in the last five years. Applicants from other areas may be admitted, since his research proposal presents a constituent matter of the concentration area.

Foreign students will be submitted to the same rules of the “Selective Process Tender of PPGED”.

Applications can be made on line by the applicant in sisppg-registration system link https://www3.dti.ufv.br/ppg/sisppg-inscricao-pos/instrucoes-inscricao-candidato, attaching all required documents, in the period from August 1st to September 15th.

The selective process will be conducted by the Coordinating Committee of the Program. Currently consists of two stages (Stage 1: analysis of the the applicant’s research project proposal and profile through the curriculum; Stage 2: Specific Knowledge Test and argumentation). Both stages are eliminatory. Applicants will be ranked according to availability of the advisor.

The selection is annual, and the rules of the selection process are described in the Tender “Selective Process”, published annually in the www.ppged.ufv.br Program website.

The program provides 30 positions for Masters and 12 for Doctorate, this amount may change at the discretion of the Coordinating Committee. Two (2) positions have been designed for students from the Alliances Program for Education and Training – PAEC-OAS-GCUB – (Cooperation Agreement signed between the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities and the Organization of American States) which aims at contributing to regional strengthening in the Americas, through the qualification of professionals from low level human development countries.
